Description:
Headdress worn by Ruth St. Denis in her 1940s revival of Radha.

Item Details:
A cone shaped headdress made from canvas and buckram. The headdress is covered in a panel of green silk satin and gold lurex braid. The top is decorated with gathered pink silk velvet. Clusters of clear, red, and green glass gems mounted of decorative metals bases also cover the headdress. Two discs, decorated with gold lurex rope, cover the ears and from the back hangs a fringe of twisted gold lurex rope.
St. Denis appears to have had multiple version of her Radha costume.
