Biography
Hubbard Street [Dance Chicago]’s dancers comprise two of the country’s most celebrated contemporary dance companies, which present new works and masterpieces by living artists drawing from a vast array of forms, techniques and traditions. Under the artistic leadership of Glenn Edgerton since 2009, the main company is comprised of 18 dancers of unparalleled virtuosity and versatility. Hubbard Street 2, directed by Terence Marling, cultivates early-career artists, identifies ascendant choreographers through the International Commissioning Project, and performs domestically and abroad in service of arts education, collaboration, experimentation and audience development.
