Headdress worn in Angkor-Vat.
Very tall painted canvas headdress with wooden beads and rope detail, it is stuffed with newspaper from July 27th 1930 (the newspaper is Il Progresso Italo-Americano, an Italian-language daily newspaper that ran from 1880-1988). The headdress is painted to resemble three heads, one on top of the other. The headdress (and the work) were inspired by the bas-reliefs at the temple of Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
