A green and purple satin bodice or choli worn by Ruth St. Denis in Nautch Dance.Item Details:
A rayon satin bodice, one half and sleeve green and one half and sleeve purple. The short sleeves are decorated with appliqués of gold embroidery. The neckline and hem are edged with gold braid. The bodice is built over a cotton bra. The back has an open cutout and is connected by a strap at the top and bottom. Four pink tassels hang down from the back of the neck. St. Denis sometimes wore this top with skirt C-006.
