Gold and Turquoise Feathered Wings, Unknown Work (set of seven)
Seven sets of gold and turquoise feathered wings. Worn in an unknown work, possibly from the 1950s.
Each costume consists of two wide wings made from gold lurex fabric and edged with cut turquoise and gold feathers. There are bamboo canes in each wing that can be held by the wearers hand. The wings join onto a center panel across the wearers back which is has a peplum style band of feathers across the lower back. The wings are in extremely poor condition - cannot be handled.
Names inside include: Wilson, Beam, June (?), Oren(?), Mandia (?), and Jones.
