STEAM Team student-led showcase at Berkshire Community College put on by Jacob's Pillow Community Engagement in partnership with Berkshire Community College, IS183 Art School, Flying Deer Nature Center, and the Pittsfield Public Schools. STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) is a three-week arts-integration and environmental science summer program for rising 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students in Pittsfield. In collaboration with other STEAM teachers, Pillow Artist Educator Debbie Maciel uses creative movement and choreography to facilitate student learning around the local Berkshire ecology and the habitats of birds, insects, and mammals.
