Park expands his tenacious interest in tradition and sport into an investigation about their meditative dimensions. BOW focuses on why traditional archery is considered an art form, built upon rigorous research and thoughts about shooting a bow. Two male dancers recreate the act of making and firing a bow, turning these actions into an austere confrontation with oneself. At times, developing into a spiraling-forward repetitious waltz, BOW showcases choreography, boundaries of sport and dance, training and meditation, and action and thought.
