Description:
A heavily embroidered Peking Opera style robe decorated with dragon motifs and most likely bought by Howry in Beijing on the Denishawn tour in 1925-26.

Item Details:
This heavily embellished red robe is decorated with an elaborate dragon design with metallic embroidery, mirrors, and glass beads. The robe fastens across the body and has had snaps added for use as a theatrical costume. The robe was most likely bought in China on the Denishawn Tour 1925-1926.
